Only two weeks til the start of the NFL season! I already broke down the Quarterbacks to target in this year’s draft. Now I will breakdown my Tight End rankings to target in your draft.

Listen, Kelce, Waller, Kittle are all great fantasy options at TE, but you are gonna have to use one of top 3 picks to get them. here are some alternative options you can target later in your draft.

Tier 3- Mark Andrews/ T.J. Hockenson/ Kyle Pitts

I like every option in this tier of juggernauts to put in your starting lineup. These three talented athletes are going in rounds 5 or 6. Andrews is the primary receiver right now for Baltimore with Rashod Bateman out for a few weeks to start the season. I don’t have a high amount of confidence in Sammy Watkins to be the “guy” in this offense. This offense doesn’t target the running backs that much. This leads me to believe that Andrews can be the guy Lamar relies on.

T. J. Hockenson has the pathway to breakout. Similar to Andrews, there is no true WR threat to take away from his opportunity. It just depends if new HC Dan Campbell and OC Anthony Lynn recognize that. D’andre Swift is dealing with a groin injury that could hinder his status for week 1. Hockenson could benefit with more targets to start the season until Swift is a full go.

Hock Truther coming for my neck because of my Andrews over Hock rank.

I am not a fantasy football expert

First change to the Tight End ranking list to target in your draft. Im willing to move Pitts into Tier 3. My concern with Pitts has always been the draft price. The talent is obviously there. He should see a lot of targets now that Julio Jones has been traded to Tennessee. He will likely be Matt Ryan‘s #2 option in the offense. The Falcons will likely put Pitts all over the field: outside, inside and on the line of scrimmage.

Now he hasn’t taken any snaps in the preseason yet. Will this effect the rookie? Unlikly. He was drafted #4 overall in the NFL draft to be a difference maker. Just approach draft day with caution. His ADP is 48 so in the 5th or 6th round I would be okay to take him. Don’t overpay.

Either one of these TE in this tier are good options to take in your draft. If you prefer to wait on TE, here are some other valuable Tight End to target late in your draft.

Tyler Higbee

In this 4th & 5th tier I have made some changes to the order and to the players who are in it. Higbee moves up to TE7. His current ADP is Pick 129. In the 10th round I am willing to get a piece of the Los Angeles Rams offense, and I am perfectly okay with Higbee as my starting TE going into the season.

Play from last year blazing through Eagles Defense.

Logan Thomas

Logan Thomas is someone who is steadily rising up my draft board. He just signed a 3 year extension with the Washington Football Team. The 6’6″ 250 lb TE could see a lot of targets and gain a lot of yards with Fitzmagic throwing him the ball.

Lordy, this was 3 years ago?!?!?!

Thomas starts the season: LAC, NYG, @BUF. I think he can get you top TE 12 numbers for those weeks. His ADP is at 93 which would make him a pick in the 7th round.

I had Dallas Goedert & Zach Ertz on my radar as we approach the preseason. Devonta Smith injured his MCL in camp, but is now back in the lineup. I’m not sure if this offense with HC Nick Sirianni can support 2 TE, 2 1st round WRs, and Quez Watkinsshoutout to the former Southern Miss Golden Eagle. Ertz will no longer be on my board unless he’s traded before the season starts.

I was extremely excited for Adam Trautman this season especially after the news Michael Thomas was going to miss a huge part of the season. He left the Monday Night game on a cart. Reports have said the injury isn’t significant, but haven’t given a time frame. We never got to see him catch any balls this preseason. It’s too risky to see how he will be a part of the offense with the injury news now.

if you haven’t check that blog out- go to it here

Other Notables:. Mike Gesicki ADP 117, Irv Smith Jr ADP 139, Jonnu Smith– ADP 148,
