Elvin’s Quick Pick of the Day

Santa brought a late Christmas gift… A division battle between the Mavs and Spurs. The Spurs have won five of their past eight games. The Mavericks have lost four of their past seven. Something I know my guy Mark Cuban, from Sharktank, is pissed about. The Mavs won the first meeting between the two. And, Dallas is favored by 6.5 points for this one. But, ‘Elvin’s Quick Pick’ believes this time could be different.

Doncic has been out for the last four games because of an ankle injury. The Mavericks have lost two of those games. He’s questionable for tonight’s game… But he’ll play!

Dallas lost 110-107 to Toronto on Sunday. The Mavs led by 30 points in the third and still found a way blow it! Ridiculous, we can officially call them the Dallas Falcons for Christ Sake. But then again, last year proved maybe Toronto is more New England Raptor than we think.

On the other hand, everything went San Antonio’s way against Memphis on Monday as the Spurs made off with a 30 point victory. LaMarcus Aldridge had a huge game! He had 40 big ones, five assists, nine boards, and three blocks. He’s doing shit our Pelicans’ fans dream of seeing.

San Antonio shot 67.4 percent from the floor. That’s the highest in any NBA game this season! They also shot 62.5 percent from beyond the arc while posting season-high totals in points and assists. The ‘Real Big Tymers’ use to say “Everybody get your roll on”, and that’s what these Spurs are doing as of late.

So, on to Elvin’s Quick Pick.

Who wins Spurs vs. Mavericks? That’s a tough call. But do the Spurs cover +6.5? You’re damn right they do. So, bet it, bet it now, the line has already moved from +7.5 this morning.

Last but not least, I’ve got two things for you. So one, if you’re betting you should be watching! It’ll be on TNT tonight at 7 p.m. CT or www.nba.com/watch. And two, go buy a damn shirt at htmsports.com/shop/!
