Week 14 was disastrous when it comes to injuries. If you’re team included any of the following— Ridley, Parker, Evans, Guice, Andrews, Chark, Jacobs, or Conner and you still advanced, congrats! I think my fiancée has like three of them on her roster and still won, crazy. Most fantasy teams with one or more of those guys, on their roster, were knocked out of the playoffs.
Needless to say, because of all those injuries, I have a ton of waiver wire adds to highlight for Week 15. Amongst them is Mostert who slashed and gashed my Saints, Sunday. Though he’s probably already owned because of what he did the week prior. I’d go check, and if he’s out there… ADD HIM!
I’ve said it all season long, but for the best fantasy football advice head over to Twitter and #AskElvin @elvinryan_HTM. I’m in the Semi-Finals for all three leagues of my leagues. Trust a winner!
It’s Week 15, your playoff Semi-Finals. Do NOT worry about using your waiver priority. Do NOT try to save FAAB. Balls to the wall, that’s that. Spend 100% of your FAAB and put in for as many waiver wire adds you think improve your roster and block your opponents.
As I mentioned above Mostert or ‘Must Start’ is a must add if available. DeAndre Washington and A.J. Brown are two I’d put right there with him this week. Washington had a great game in place of Jacobs who has a fractured shoulder and is scheduled to have an MRI done this week. Not to mention the Jaguars are giving up nearly 7 yards a carry in the later half of the season. As far as Brown goes, well he’s been phenomenal of late and he’s clearly the most targeted receiver on the Titans.
Win this week! Don’t look ahead to the Championship, you might not be there. Also, don’t get caught in the past and let the present pass you up. Say you beat someone early on, doesn’t mean it will happen again. Without any more blabbering, let’s cut to what you’re here for…
Patrick Laird, RB, Dolphins— Let’s be honest he sucks. But and that’s a big BUT if he sees nearly 20 touches against the Giants this week, like he did against the Jets, I feel confident flexing him in deeper leagues. He’s also had a solid floor since earning the start. That’s always a plus for a flex.
Zach Pascal, WR, Colts— I’m all in on this dude. I told many people to start him last week, first half was shit but then he got it going. 19 targets the last two weeks is nothing to play around with. Ebron and Hilton are done for the season, that’s just the way it is. And, after watching what Sanders and Deebo did to my Saints I feel extremely confident in you letting Pascal loose.
OJ Howard, TE, Bucs— You’re saying, “What in the Buc is he doing on this list? I’m not adding him”. Chill, it’s been a bed shitting kind of year for someone who was drafted in the first three rounds of your draft. But he’s had over 60 yards in back to back games, Evans is out for the season, and the tight end position suck for fantasy purposes.
Something everyone should do during the playoffs— STREAM DEFENSES! Unlucky for you many of the good defenses are taken already by the bums not even in the playoffs. That’s okay though, I’ve got three that could surprising get the job done…
Chiefs— Over their last three games they have seven sacks, eight fumbles, and an interception. Lock won’t have a repeat of last week. I expect Andy to dial up all sorts of blitz packages and we all know Arrowhead will be loud.
Giants— 26 sacks this season versus the worst offensive line in the game… Yeah, I’ll take this matchup. FitzMagic can sometimes try too hard and if DVP were to miss I’d expect just that. Picks, on picks, on picks. P.S. They have Haskins in the championship if you couldn’t help but look ahead.
Bucs— Top 15 fantasy defense playing against the Lions, who looked GOD awful against the Vikings. Lions offense has sucked since Golliday and Marvin Jones were scoring with turkeys and ham on Thanksgiving. Stream the Bucs with confidence.
Hope you enjoyed the read. Again, be sure to follow @elvinryan_HTM for the best fantasy football advice. Best of luck this week… See you in the ship kiddos!
