UFC Vegas 26: Mayo Spreads

The mayo train keeps rolling into UFC Vegas 26 this Saturday. Not even the slightest bit nervous for these selections. Nothing extremely eye opening for the casual UFC fan this weekend, but all I really see is dollar signs and an opportunity. Let’s set the table and make some fucking bread.

Last week in SpreadQuarters.

3/4 after Reyes took a spinning elbow.

UFC Vegas 26 Table

I’m going after these seven, book it.

  • Alex Morono vs. Donald Cerrone
  • Neil Magny vs. Geoff Neal
  • Maurice Greene vs. De Lima
  • Diego Ferreira vs. Gregor Gillespie
  • Ben Rothwell vs. Philipe Lins
  • Angela Hill vs. Amanda Ribas
  • Phil Hawes vs. Kyle Daukaus

Skipping the Waterson fight because I just don’t feel confident in any pick in that particular bout. Couldn’t come to a decision, sorry. Geoff Neal is the mayo spreads oh so certain selection of the week. I’m encouraging folks to pull their wallets out for Geoff this Saturday. It will pay off.

Geoff Neal KO’d Mike Perry.

Alex Morono vs. Donald Cerrone

Always nice riding the Cowboy wagon.
Won’t be this weekend.

Moreno last fought on short notice against Anthony Pettis and took a decision loss to the face. He’s beaten Max Griffin, Kenan Song, and Rhys McKee. Three solid victories in his career, but a weathered Cowboy would be his biggest victory. Alex Morono talks a whole fucking lot during interviews. Like, this dude doesn’t breathe it’s exhausting. If he fights anything as good as he talks he will win. Take the Morono money line, respectfully. Should be a pretty solid fight, just can’t trust Cowboy at this point when it comes to laying money down.

Mayo Selection: Moreno ML +150

Neil Magny vs. Geoff Neal

Mayo Oh So Certain Selection
Geoff Neal

This one is really easy for me. Neil Magny has proven nothing as of late to think he could brawl with Geoff Neal. Especially, a Geoff Neal coming off a loss. Not just any loss either. Homie loss to Wonderboy in a decision. That should tell ya enough about Geoff Neal. Not saying that was a close fight for him, but he still didn’t get KO’d. Like I said earlier, Neal KO’d fucking Mike Perry in 90 seconds. Nobody does that to Platinum Perry. This is ya guy for the weekend folks. Bet it ALL on Hands of Steel, Geoff Neal.

Mayo Selection: Geoff Neal ML -188, Geoff Neal by KO/TKO

Maurice Greene vs. Marcos Rogerio De Lima

De Lima bout to go to work.

Ya like leg kicks? Welp, De Lima is gonna kick the absolute fuck outta Maurice Greene’s leg come Saturday. Don’t get caught up in the Maurice Greene hype that isn’t even actually there. Just don’t pick Maurice Greene in this fight. De Lima is talented enough to knock this fool out in the first round. Greene has lost 3 of his last 4 fights, will lose this one.

Mayo Selection: De Lima ML -185, De Lima TKO/KO

Diego Ferreira vs. Gregor Gillespie

Not a bad look going with Diego and the plus money in this one, but that look won’t be for mayo. Gillespie is the more balanced fighter and he’s fucking pissed. Dude had his last fight scrapped against Brad Riddell and hasn’t fought in nearly two years. His last fight he got KO’d by Kevin Lee. Tons to show up for if ya Gregor Gillespie. Diego Ferreira is close in age and enjoys the ground game. But, Gregor is just better.

Mayo Selection: Gregor Gillespie ML -175

Amanda Ribas vs. Angela Hill

I’m leaning more towards Angela Hill if I absolutely have to make a pick here.

This is a tough fight to pick for me. Just gimme the over 1 1/2 on this fight. Ribas is coming off a crazy fucking loss and Angela Hill is just consistent, fun, and cannot be counted out. The over is safe.

Mayo Selection: over 1 1/2 rounds

Ben Rothwell vs. Philipe Lins

a true warrior, Ben Rothwell.

Rothwell doesn’t get knocked out. I mean, everyone has their day and his could be coming. However, it won’t be against this dude Philipe Lins. I think he can take this dude out. I watched Philipe get FUCKED up by Tanner Boser and he hasn’t fought since. Rothwell has still been facing some solid talent. He looked sort of sloppy towards the end of his last fight against Tybura, but I think he can potentially make quick work of Lins.

Mayo Selection: Ben Rothwell ML -110

Phil Hawes vs. Kyle Daukaus

Hawes can hurt ya.

I’m a huge Chris Daukaus fan. But, this isn’t Chris Daukaus. This is Kyle Daukaus, his brother. Not nearly as sure of a bet as Chris Daukaus and I just can’t take him against Phil Hawes. Ima stay safe on this and take the under 2 1/2 rounds. I’m expecting a finish here for sure.

Mayo Selection: Under 2 1/2 rounds -170
