NBA 2K Players Tournament

The NBA and NBPA has announced they will be partnering with 2K in a players only 2K20 tournament. The NBA 2K Player Tournament will be airing tonight on ESPN and ESPN 2. The event is a 16 player bracket style tournament. Player seeds are based on the NBA players actual in game ratings with Kevin Durant coming in as #1 with a 96 overall rating. The winner of the tournament will select a charity to receive a $100,000 donation from 2K, the NBA and the NBPA to aid in the fight against the Corona Virus.

Each player is given a list of teams to choose from in the head to head tournament. You can expect to see every player pick his own real NBA team. Could you imagine the texts from teammates if they don’t? This event is going to be a tough one to decide the odds on. Do you go with a veteran of the game who has possibly played 2K for longer or do you pick a youthful player who may have grinded it out on 2K?

My personal favorites are Devin Booker, Trae Young, and my sleeper is Demarcus Cousins. Booker was just seen yesterday streaming COD: Modern Warfare for another charitable event for Covid 19. Trae Young looks like he is ready for war also tweeting that it was “Game Day” but lets not forget about Boogie. Demarcus Cousins has had plenty of time on the couch lately with injuries. So much time that he recently signed to an actual Esports team, NRG.
