It is game day once again for the New Orleans Saints. As always during this time of the season, it is a big game. Our guys will be playing against a desperate Titans team who are tied for the final playoff spot in the AFC playoff picture. Here are three things that the Saints can do to make their jobs easier and head out of Nashville with a win.

Stop Their Run Game

The Titans have one of the best running backs in the NFL. Derrick Henry has been their workhorse. He has 1,329 yards and 13 touchdowns on the year. However, he has had a nagging hamstring injury this week. He was originally expected to play, but today he got downgraded to out. We should expect to see a healthy dose of Dion Lewis with Henry being out. We need to make it a priority to make the Titans a one dimensional team.

Keep Building Momentum on Offense

Drew Brees has been incredible the past couple of games. A few weeks ago, against the number one ranked defense, Drew threw five touchdowns and 349 yards. Last week against the Colts, Drew had 307 yards and four touchdowns. Michael Thomas is the best wide receiver in the NFL. In the last four games he had four touchdowns. Against the Colts alone, he had 12 catches for 128 yards and a touchdown. These two combined with Alvin Kamara, Jared Cook, and Latavius Murray, are incredible. Once we get Alvin Kamara playing like the Alvin Kamara we know and love, the league better watch out. We have the perfect opportunity to do just that against a banged up Titans’ defense.

Wreak Havoc on the Titans’ Offensive Line

The Titans have the 31st ranked offensive line in the NFL. They have given up an astonishing 51 sacks this season! We need to make sure we are making Ryan Tannehill throw the ball quicker than he wants to, or sacking him. We need to make the Titans’ offensive line miserable from the start.

So, if we can shut down the Titans’ run offense, keep building momentum on offense, and feast on the Titans’ poor O line, we should have a great shot at heading out of Tennessee with a 12-3 record! Who Dat!
