Only in Cleveland will you see those Browns lose the way they lose and win the way they win. Cleveland had looked decent on Thursday night starring Baker Mayfield and Nick Chubb. It didn’t quite look like the start to a dynasty, but looked good enough to get a victory over a weirdly competitive Steelers team. Real nice story here, the Browns had it going looking to bounce back from a disaster start to a well documented spotlight season. Cleveland was on the way to a Brownie victory, couple dog barks, and another day alive in the NFL. Go Browns! Nah, only this fucking football team could turn a good win into a shit show.
Eight short seconds were left till the Browns first home win and Myles Garrett decided to shock the world. He went right at a man with a detailed concussion history and whacked him over the head with his own helmet. Look, that helmet swing had way too much evil on it in my personal opinion. Myles Garrett will surely be suspended for light years and have more than enough time to decide if he wants to be a football player or join NXT Wrestling moving forward on Wednesday nights. We also went on to watch Pouncey do the ole boot scoot boogie all over Myles Garrett’s head. It was a sad, yet consistent ending for the Brownies on Thursday night. Baker said what he said in the end and the man isn’t wrong.
Troy Aikman and Joe Buck were not having any of this shit. An astonished Troy Aikman was quoted saying “That’s one of the worst things we’ve ever seen on a professional sports field.” I’d say Troy hit the helmet on the god damn head with that one. Hold it.
