Reinforcements Are on the Way

The New Orleans Saints have enjoyed a nice week off, but before the bye week, they were having a pretty good time as well. They finished the first half of the season with a 7-1 record. Not only is this an outstanding feat in itself, but they’ve done so without multiple key players. No Drew Brees? No problem, we’ve got a starting-caliber QB waiting in the wings. No Alvin Kamara? Once again, no problem. We’ve got a freight train, Latavius Murray, waiting to run the opposition into the ground. No Jared Cook, Tre’Quan Smith, P.J. Williams, Trey Hendrickson, Keith Kirkwood, Alex Anzalone…. The list goes on. No problem! This is a credit to Sean Payton and Mickey Loomis. Sean Payton has schemed every week to perfection, and Loomis has built a team that has starting caliber players all across the roster.

As fate would have it, the next game is on November 10th in The Dome against those dirty birds. The season has been less than pleasant for the 1-7 Falcons. A team many expected to be our top competitor for the division has just self-destructed before our eyes. However, this is a heated NFC South rival we are talking about, and if their only two wins for the rest of the season come against us, it would be like a super bowl victory, and we would hear about it for the rest of the season through to next season. It is set up perfectly for our guys though. Drew Brees made his return throwing for 373 yards and three touchdowns. Alvin Kamara and Jared Cook are expected to make their returns from injury as well. P.J. Williams has been reinstated from his two-game suspension and will be back to compete for his spot with standout rookie, C.J. Gardner Johnson.

Everything is set up exactly how we would have wanted it to be. It is up to us to take advantage and keep this thing rolling. Whodat!!
