Shareef O’Neal has officially announced that he is transferring to LSU. The O’Neal last name should sound familiar to Tiger fans. His dad has a statue outside of the PMAC. The 6’9 power forward is leaving UCLA after a heart condition forced him to miss the majority of his freshman year. He took a medical redshirt year, so it won’t halter his eligibility. After undergoing successful heart surgery, O’Neal is ready to go. This is big news for LSU basketball and next years recruiting class. Shareef O’Neal joins five-star Cameron Thomas, four-star Mwani Wilkinson, and Georgetown transfer Josh Leblanc in the 2020 recruiting class. The Tigers currently sit at 18-6 and are tied for first in the SEC. Coach Will Wade has proven he knows how to recruit. The Tigers are here to stay! Hold It.
