Shooting Ducks With HTM Sports
A rough start to the day turned into a 2 man limit of ducks this weekend. We launched Sunday morning at an undisclosed location, Ran the canal for about fifteen minutes. The weather was perfect light wind low 30-degree temps. It’s the second split so you gotta watch the low tides. Well, we pull up to some mum trees and cane where we gather our brush to brush up the duck blind. And my brother’s dumbass forgot the machete. Now we don’t tote around a chainsaw to cut up blinds like the fellas on Tik Tok. So we looked around in the boat, A pocket knife, a filet knife, and a PVC pipe cutter (idk why that was even in the boat) did the job.
So we got the blind after sun-up, jumped 100’s of birds out the pond. Got settled and it was game on. We went on to shoot a mixed bag of ducks consisting of teal and Gadwall, with one really nice looking spoonbill.
That looks like water but it’s only inches deep. Maybe next time I’ll be able to get onto some fish like Chris over at Expert Heating and Air.
